Depart New York on the overnight flight to London. Day 2 Enroute Arrive in London this morning. The day is at leisure until departure this evening on the overnight flight to Johannesburg. Heathrow Hilton (Day Room) Day 3 Arrive Johannesburg Upon arrival in Johannesburg, clear customs and immigrations formalities and take the short walk to the Airport Sun InterContinental Hotel, located across from the terminal. The remainder of the evening is at leisure. Day 4 Johannesburg-Victoria Falls (Livingstone) (B) A short walk takes you back to the terminal for the flight to Livingstone in Zambia, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel along the Zambezi River. After a leisurely afternoon, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi. Day 5 Victoria Falls (B) A highlight awaits this morning as you begin the day with a tour of the “Smoke That Thunders”, Victoria Falls. Be sure to pack rain gear, as the mist from the falls will provide a refreshing reminder of the strength of the falls. Later this afternoon, visit a local village and gain insight on local life today. Day 6 Livingstone-Chobe National Park (BLD) A road/ferry transfer takes you to one of Botswana’s most famous parks today - Chobe National Park. After settling in at your lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park, most noted for its elephant population. Chobe Game Lodge Day 7 Chobe National Park (BLD) A full day gives you time for both morning and afternoon game drives. You might also choose to opt for game viewing by water - a wonderful way to view the animals from a different perspective. Chobe Game Lodge Day 8 Chobe-Caprivi Strip (BLD) A change of pace today as you transfer to your lodge situated in the Eastern Caprivi of Namibia, on a peninsula on the northern bank of the Chobe River. The area is renowned for its diverse and prolific wildlife including the rare puku antelope. There are no "scheduled" activities here - you can choose to relax and do nothing or join in on a game viewing boat excursion or a visit to a nearby village. Chobe Savanna Lodge Day 9 Chobe-Caprivi Strip (BLD) Chobe Savanna Lodge is further situated within the Savanna Conservancy, a community based wildlife conservation area in the Caprivi. This area of the Chobe river is home to the largest herds of elephant in Africa, buffalo and hippo, as well as concentrations of other wildlife which come down to the rivers edge to drink, graze and hunt. Choose from a variety of activities today. Perhaps try your hand at fishing (it's fish and release here). Chobe Savanna Lodge Day 10 Chobe-Cape Town (B) A road transfer takes you back to Livingstone, from where you continue by air to Cape Town. Settle into your hotel on the waterfront and enjoy an evening at leisure. Day 11 Cape Town (BL) Today’s full day tour takes you to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. You’ll drive over Chapman’s Peak and stop at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve before taking the cable car to the top of Cape Point. Stop for lunch enroute back to Cape Town. A stop at Boulders Beach gives you a chance to see the Penguins and a visit to Kirstenbosch Botannical Gardens is always a treat. Return to Cape Town late this afternoon. Day 12 Cape Town (B) Cape Town is a wonderful city to explore on your own. You might like to browse the shops along the waterfront, or perhaps ask us to arrange an optional tour to Robben Island, District Six or the Winelands. Of course, you might just relax by the pool at your hotel. Day 13 Cape Town-Depart (B) After a leisurely day, transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to London. Day 14 Arrive USA Arrive in London early this morning and connect to your USA-bound flight, arriving later today.
