 Depart the USA on your overnight flight to London. Note: Depending on flight schedules, passengers west of the Mississippi may have to depart one day earlier. Day 2 Arrive Nairobi Arrive in London early this morning where you connect to the Nairobi-bound flight, arriving later this evening. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Get a good night's sleep, so you will be ready for the spectacular sights that await you! Day 3 Nairobi-Lewa Downs (BLD) A light aircraft flight takes you north to the foot of Mt. Kenya and the Lewa Downs Wildlife Conservancy. For the next three nights you will have the opportunity to see conservation and wildlife management at its very best. Lewa Safari Camp Day 4 Lewa Downs (BLD) Enjoy morning and afternoon game activities today. Family-owned since 1924, Lewa Downs has been able to sucessfully manage a working ranch along with preserving the wildlife in the area. Lewa Safari Camp Day 5 Lewa Downs (BLD) Enjoy your choice of morning and afternoon game activities. Lewa Safari Camp Day 6 Lewa Downs-Samburu (BLD) A light aircraft flight takes us to Samburu in northern Kenya. Samburu is one of Kenya's smaller parks, making game viewing spectacular. Your tented camp is located alongside the Uaso Nyiro River, providing great game viewing opportunities from the verandah of your tent. An afternoon game drive might reveal some of the local species: Grevy's zebra, gerenuk and Beisa oryx. Day 7 Samburu (BLD) The "brown" Uaso Nyiro River attracts a wide variety of game in search of water and game viewing along the river banks might reveal zebra, dik dik, buffalo and hippo. Leopard are frequently sighted in Samburu, so be sure to keep a watch on the high tree branches that form a canopy over the banks of the river. Back at camp, relax on the verandah or take a dip in the pool. Day 8 Samburu-Masai Mara (BLD) After an early morning game drive, a light aircraft flight takes you to Kenya's most famous park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Here the Maasai graze their cattle and live side by side with the resident wildlife. Your luxury camp is tucked away in a prime wildlife area on the northern edge of the Masai Mara. Day 9 Masai Mara (BLD) Two full days in the Masai Mara give you the opportunity to explore and game-view in this rich area. Thanks to the abundant food supply provided by large herds of plains game such as zebra, impala, buffalo and more, the big cats are found frequently in the Mara. Birdlife in this area is prolific as well. Day 10 Masai Mara (BLD) A full day in the Masai Mara has time for both morning and afternoon game-viewing activities. Day 11 Masai Mara-Depart (BL) This morning, return to Nairobi by light aircraft flight. You'll stop for lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant where you'll have an opportunity to sample differnt types of exotic meat. Then visit the Daphne Sheldrick Orphanage to witness first hand the wonderful work these caretakers perform every day to rescue orphaned elephants. Day rooms are available to freshen up before departing for the airport for your overnight flight to London. Panari Hotel (day room)Day 12 Arrive USA Arrive in London early this morning where you connect to your homeward bound flight.
