Day 1  31 Oct 10 or 19 Nov 10 Depart USA
Depart your gateway city on the overnight flight to London.

Day 2  01 Nov 10 or 20 Nov 10 Arrive Nairobi
Land in London early this morning where you connect to the daytime flight to Nairobi, arriving in Kenya late this evening. Sleep well this evening.

Day 3  02 Nov 10 or 21 Nov 10 Nairobi (BD)
A late start today gives you time to rest from the journey. Your first stop today is at the former home of Karen von Blixen, author of Out of Africa. Roam through the house and picture what life was like in Kenya in the early 1900's. Then, continue to the Giraffe Center where the opportunity to feed one of the Rothschilds giraffes awaits. Watch out, they have an uncanny nack to find the nuggets in your hands! Return to the hotel for included dinner.
Day 4  03 Nov 10 or 22 Nov 10 Nairobi-Tarangire National Park (BLD)
A very early start this morning as you fly to Arusha and then continue by road into Tarangire National Park. Game-view your way to your camp, arriving in time for lunch. Your camp is situated in the remote south-eastern part of Tarangire, perfectly placed to watch large concentrations of wilflife near the waterholes. Head out for an afternoon game drive.
Day 5  04 Nov 10 or 23 Nov 10 Tarangire National Park (BLD)
Tarangire covers more than 1000 square miles and was first established in 1970. The Tarangire River runs through the entire park, provided a water source for animals from all over. The distinctive baobob tree gives the park a unique landscape. Tarangire is also home to some of the largest herds of elephants in East Africa. Today enjoy two different game activities. Oliver's Camp is known for bush walks, so this morning you'll have an opportunity to walk with an experience ranger, getting up close to large mammals (where possible), but also learning about the trees, bugs, and other aspects of life in the bush. Later, keep your game list handy as you enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Day 6  05 Nov 10 or 24 Nov 10 Tarangire-Ngorongoro (BLD)
Your drive takes you to Karatu and a wonderful farmhouse experience at Gibbs Farm. A working farm on the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Gibbs Farm is half way between Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Carter. Cozy cottages (each with their own theme) branch out from the main farmhouse. This afternoon, walk through farmlands to a spectacular nearby waterfall and visit the elephant caves.
Gibbs Farm

Day 7  06 Nov 10 or 25 Nov 10 Ngorongoro (BLD)
The excitement begins early this morning as you descend to the floor of Ngorongoro to spend the better part of the day game-viewing in the crater. Ngorongoro is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and thanks to its size, the floor of the crater actually hosts several distinct areas, ranging from swamps, lakes and springs to open grassland and even sandy dunes. Stop around midday to enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your game-viewing. Bird life here is amazing as well, so be sure to pack the binoculars!
Gibbs Farm

Day 8  07 Nov 10 or 26 Nov 10 Ngorongoro-Serengeti (BLD)
As we leave the Ngorongoro area, we stop to see Olduvai Gorge, sight of what might have been the most famous archaeological discovery of the 20th century and window into understanding human evolution. Our drive then continues into world-famous Serengeti National Park. Your game drive through the park might reveal herds of wildebeest and zebra along the plains. Keep a close eye out, as where there are plains game, the predators like lion, cheetah, hyena and more are bound to be nearby. Settle into your camp perched in the Moru Kopjes. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Dunia Camp

Day 9  08 Nov 10 or 27 Nov 10 Serengeti (BLD)
There's no better way to end a safari than a full day in the Serengeti. Tanzania's largest park is witness to the largest annual migration in the world - hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra make their way across the plains each year, in search of greener grass. This area of the Serengeti is also great for spotting rhino as well as the big cats like lion and leopard. Enjoy both morning and afternoong game drives today.
Dunia Camp

Day 10  09 Nov 10 or 28 Nov 10 Serengeti-Depart (BLD)
Bid farewell to the Serengeti this morning as a light aircraft flight takes you to Arusha, where you stop for lunch. Then continue by road to Nairobi, where you can freshen up in our partner Club Lounge before departing on the overnight flight to London this evening.
