 Depart on the overnight flight to London. Day 2 Sat Enroute Arrive in London this morning where you are on your own until this evening's departure on the overnight flight to Johannesburg. Day 3 Sun Arrive Johannesburg (D) Touchdown in Johannesburg this morning where you will find your transfer host waiting after you have cleared customs and immigration formailities. Transfer to your hotel for an evening at leisure. Protea Hotel Wanderers Day 4 Mon Johannesburg-Pretoria-Pilgrim's Rest (BD) It's an early departure this morning as our drive takes us a short distance to Pretoria, South Africa's capital city. We'll take a short orientation tour before continuing to Mpumalanga. Our drive takes us via Witbank and Lydenburg, passing over the famous Long Tom Pass and to Pilgrim's Rest, where gold was first discovered. Royal Hotel Day 5 Tue Pilgrim's Rest - Kruger National Park (BD) The journey continues today as you pass through God's Window and visit spectacular Blyde River Canyon. Explore the quaint village of Graskop before arriving in Hazyview mid afternoon. Perry's Bridge Hollow Day 6 Wed Kruger National Park (B) An exciting day awaits as you have a full day of game viewing in open vehicles. Watch for elephant, buffalo and rhino as well as the Big Cats -- lion and leopard. Perry's Bridge Hollow Day 7 Thu Kruger National Park-The Kingdom of Swaziland (BLD) Today's drive takes you to the tiny Kingdom of Swaziland where you'll have an opportunity to visit the famous Ngwenya Glass Factory to see how the craftsman sculpt exquisite glass figures out of molten glass. Then it's on to Mbabane, famous for its vibrant markets. Lugogo Sun Day 8 Fri Kingdom of Swaziland-Kingdom of the Zulu's (B) Among our stops today are the Swazi Candle Factory, with candles in just about every shape and size imaginable. Then it's on to Zululand and the town of St. Lucia. This afternoon, enjoy an open vehicle game drive in nearby Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. Elephant Lake Hotel Day 9 Sat St. Lucia-Durban (B) Before leaving this morning, enjoy a cruise on Lake St. Lucia. Then our drive takes us along the KwaZulu-Natal coastline and into Durban. We'll take a short tour of Durban this afternoon. Drive along the Golden Mile, the beautiful beach promenade before visiting City Hall. A stop at the Durban Botanic Gardens gives you a glimpse of some of the massive trees from all over Africa. Protea Hotel Umhlanga Day 10 Sun Durban-Cape Town (B) Take an early morning scheduled flight to Cape Town today. You'll be met at the airport and assisted to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. You might want to add an optional Walk To Freedom tour or a visit to Robben Island. Ask us for details. Day 11 Mon Cape Town (B) You have a choice of tour today. Travel to the Cape of Good Hope to see where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, stopping at the Nature Preserve enroute. Or, treat your tastebuds to tastings of some of the excellent South African wines on a full day visit to the winelands. Day 12 Tue Cape Town Depart (B) Our journey ends far too quickly as we depart later today on the overnight flight to London. Day 13 Wed Arrive USA An early morning arrival in London gives you time to connect to your homeward-bound flight, arriving back in the USA later today.
