Day 1  Depart New York
Your adventure begins as you depart New York on the overnight flight to London.

Day 2  Arrive Nairobi
Arrive in London this morning where you connect to the Nairobi-bound flight. Touchdown in Nairobi late this evening, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3  Nairobi (BL)
Enjoy a leisurely morning. Later your private sightseeing tour begins with lunch at the Karen Blixen Gardens. Then continue to the Karen Blixen Museum where you have an opportunity to see what life was like in Nairobi during the early 1900's. A stop at the Giraffe Center is sure to result in smiles and giggles as you feed the exquisite Rothschilds giraffes from an elevated platform. Return to the hotel where the afternoon is at leisure.
Day 4  Nairobi-Arusha (BLD)
A light aircraft flight takes you to Arusha where your luxury wing safari begins. Spend the night in Arusha where you can relax in your spacious suite.
Arusha Coffee Lodge

Day 5  Arusha-Tarangire (BLD)
Your lodge is located on a 2100 acre working coffee plantation and this morning there is time to explore the plantation and learn about the methods of growing coffee. They have been growing coffee here since 1899 and are known for some of the best pure Arabica coffee. There's time to enjoy a delightful lunch in the garden before being chauffeured to the airport to board your luxurious Executive Grand Caravan for the flight to Tarangire. This version of the Grand Caravan has been modified to hold only 9 club class seats, giving all guests a super-comfortable ride. Your lodge in Tarangire sits high in the old Baobab and Marula trees next to a path used by elephants as they migrate. Settle in and then head out on an afternoon game drive. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River and during your afternoon game drive in the park, you might spot lion, bat-eared fox, kudu and the bateleur eagle.
Tarangire Treetops

Day 6  Tarangire (BLD)
A full day in Tarangire allows time for morning and afternoon game drives. You might also consider taking a game walk with a qualified Ranger. Game walks offer the opportunity to learn about animal tracks as well as the insects and vegetation of the plains and how they all work together in this intricate eco-system. You'll also have an oportunity to visit a nearby Masai village. Perhaps you'll learn how high the Masai men can jump or learn one of their beautiful songs.
Tarangire Treetops

Day 7  Tarangire-Ngorongoro (BLD)
Travel by road to the airstrip and then fly to Lake Manyara. You're first stop is at the authentic African market in nearby Karatu. Bargaining is always the order of the day in the markets, so if you see something you like, be ready with your price. You continue by road to Ngorongoro, arriving in time for high tea. The Manor at Ngorongoro was built in the old Cape Dutch architecture and you'll be transported back in time as you relax in your period-decorated suite.
The Manor at Ngorongoro

Day 8  Ngorongoro (BLD)
Ngorongoro is the world's largest caldera (or collapsed volcano) and the crater’s floor is home to a wide variety of habitats supporting abundant wildlife and birdlife. As you descend in the early morning mist, the floor of the crater will become more visible, revealing it's large lake speckled with pink flamingo and rich plains brimming with wildlife. Spend the day on the floor of the crater, stopping for picnic hamper lunch under the shade of the trees. Game viewing on the crater floor might reveal hippo and leopard along with birdlife such as the Black Kite, White-necked Raven, Hildebrandt’s Francolins and much more.
The Manor at Ngorongoro

Day 9  Ngorongoro-Serengeti (BLD)
The morning is at leisure to enjoy the grounds of the estate. You might pamper yourself with a spa treatment or perhaps enjoy a bike ride or horseback ride around the estate. Shortly after lunch, you'll drive back to the Manyara airstrip to rejoin your private Cessna Grand Caravan for the flight to Tanzania's most famous park, the Serengeti. You'll land in time to enjoy an afternoon game drive and sundowners at a special spot.
Migration Camp

Day 10  Serengeti (BLD)
The Serengeti is one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Thanks in part to its wide row of incisor teeth, the wildebeest eats more grass per mouthful than any other herbivore and as a result, is dominant in the Serengeti. Among the more than 300 species of birds found in the park, watch for the Superb Starling, whose iridescent colors make it easy to spot. The Big Cats are all here as well, so keep your eyes peeled for lion snoozing in the grass or cheetahs scanning the horizon from the vantage point on top of a kopje. You'll spend the day game-viewing, stopping for a bush lunch in a shady spot.
Migration Camp

Day 11  Serengeti-Nairobi (BL)
After breakfast, why not take a guided game walk along the banks of the Grumeti River. Your guide will explain how some of the plants are used for medicinal purposes -- as well as teach you how they tell the difference between all the tracks in the sand. After lunch, your light aircraft flight brings you back to Arusha where you have time to freshen up before continuing on the late flight back to Nairobi.
Day 12  Nairobi-Depart (B)
The day is at leisure to enjoy the facilities of the hotel. Relax poolside or indulge in a spa treatment. We can also arrange private transport for last minute shopping if you like. Later this evening, you will be transferred to the airport to depart on the overnight flight to London.
Day 13  Arrive USA
Early morning touchdown in London. Later this morning, connect to the USA-bound flight, arriving later today.
