 Depart New York on the overnight flight to London. Day 2 Arrive Nairobi Arrive in London early this morning where you connect to the Nairobi-bound flight, arriving later this evening. (Travelers departing from cities west of the Mississippi may have to depart one day earlier.) Day 3 Nairobi Jambo! Welcome to Kenya! Enjoy a leisurely morning. Later, a drive to Karen will reveal the treasures of the Blixen Museum and the fun of feeding the giraffe at the Giraffe center. Day 4 Nairobi-Sweetwaters Tented Camp A short flight takes you to Nanyuki at the foot of Mt. Kenya, where you will be met and transferred to your camp in the heart of the private 24,000 acre Sweetwaters Game Reserve. After lunch, search for giraffe, zebra, elephant, cheetah and lion on an afternoon game drive. Day 5 Sweetwaters Tented Camp Sweetwaters is home to the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya. Developed in conjunction with the Jane Goodall Institute, the sanctuary caries for chimps that have been rescued from the most appalling conditions. Spend some time at the sanctuary and learn about their important work. Later, enjoy a game drive in search of hartebeest, rhino, ostrick, and much more. Day 6 Sweetwaters-Masai Mara A light aircraft flight takes you to the Masai Mara, Kenya's most famous reserve, arriving in time for lunch. Birdwatchers will delight in the Masai Mara, as more than 500 species of birds have been recorded. There are over 16 species of eagles and 9 species of sunbird. Day 7 Masai Mara Morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara are exciting. Teeming wildlife includes a variety of plains game such as zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelle, as well as predators such as hyena, jackal, lion, leopard and cheetah. Day 8 Masai Mara-Nairobi After a final game drive this morning, a light aircraft flight takes you back to Nairobi, where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Day 9 Nairobi-Mahe, Seychelles A morning flight takes you from Kenya to the idyllic paradise of the Seychelles. You'll be met and transferred to your luxury resort.
