Day 3  Nairobi-Samburu (BLD)
Your adventure begins this morning as a light aircraft flight takes you to the northern frontier and semi-arid environment of Samburu National Park. Settle into your tented camp along the Uaso Nyiro River before setting out on your afternoon game drive. Samburu’s size and diversity make it a wonderful park for game viewing. Look for the reticulated giraffe - unique to this area of Kenya.
Larsens Tented Camp

Day 4  Samburu (BLD)
Morning and afternoon game drives provide opportunity to search for the elusive leopard, frequently spotted in Samburu. Look for the gerenuk - nicknamed the giraffe gazelle. The gerenuk can stand on its hind legs for long periods of time, allowing it to reach the succulent leaves at the top of tree branches.
Larsens Tented Camp

Day 5  Samburu-Masai Mara (BLD)
Your light aircraft flight takes you to Kenya’s most famous reserve, the Masai Mara. After lunch and time to settle in, have your cameras and binoculars ready for an afternoon of superb game viewing. The plains of the Mara are frequently dotted with hundreds of wildebeest, zebra, impala and other plains game.
Day 6  Masai Mara (BLD)
This is big cat country, so your chances of seeing several of the big cats are very good. It’s not uncommon to drive very close to a pride of lions dozing beneath the shade of a tree, but you might have to search a bit harder for the smaller leopard who prefers snoozing on higher tree branches. Among the more than 450 species of birds recorded in the Mara, at least 53 of them are raptors. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives today.
Day 7  Masai Mara-Nairobi (BL)
A light aircraft flight takes you back to Nairobi this morning. Stop for lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant before visiting Karen von Blixen’s former home. Continue to the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to feed the Rothschild giraffe and learn about this special mammal.
Day 8  Nairobi-Serengeti (BD)
Your drive takes you to the Tanzania border today, where you continue into the town of Arusha in time to take the afternoon flight to Tanzania's most famous park, the Serengeti. Camp vehicles meet you upon arrival with picnic lunches. Game drive your way back to the camp. Later, after settling in, enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Day 9  Serengeti (BLD)
You cannot describe the Serengeti without using a superlative. The sheer size and expanse of the plains spread out around you is awesome and the number of animals as far as the eye can see is simply amazing. The Serengeti is perhaps most famous for the annual migration, but game viewing here is superb year round. Plains game, big cats and hundreds of bird species are all here.
Day 10  Serengeti-Ngorongoro (BLD)
Leave the Serengeti today and drive across the plains, stopping for a picnic lunch. your first stop is at Olduvai Gorge, site of the famous discovery of “homo habilis” - a direct ancestor of modern man. Later this afternoon, arrive at your lodge set in the small down of Karatu, with spectacular views of of the farmlands and Ngorongoro Crater in the distance.
Day 11  Ngorongoro (BLD)
Breathtaking vistas await on this morning’s descent into Ngorongoro Crater. Spend the morning game viewing on the floor of the crater. The diversity of eco-systems from open grassland to forest area brimming with yellow fever trees, helps support a wide variety of wildlife. You’ll find large concentrations of zebra and gazelle -- and predators like lion and hyena right along with them! Later, visit a nearby Maasai village.
Day 12  Ngorongoro-Tarangire (BLD)
Your drive takes you south of Lake Manyara into Tarangire National Park today. The Tarangire River flowing through the park attracts large concentrations of wildlife in their search for water. Settle into your tented camp sitting in the midst of a prime migratory area before heading out on an afternoon game drive.
Day 13  Tarangire (BLD)
Rise early this morning for the first of two game drives today. Tarangire is famous for its elephant population, but you will also spot a wide variety of plains game. Bird viewing here is fantastic, with more than 300 recorded species.
Day 14  Tarangire-Nairobi-Depart (BLD)
Your safari comes to an end today as you drive into Arusha for lunch and then continue to Nairobi. You'll have time to freshen up in our Partner Lounge before enjoying a farewell dinner. Then it's off to the airport and your overnight flight to London.

Day 15  Arrive USA
Arrive in London early this morning and connect to your USA-bound flight arriving later today.
