Depart the USA on your overnight transatlantic flight. Day 2 En route Arrive in London this morning where day rooms are available until your departure on the evening flight to Cape Town. Sofitel London Heathrow (Day Room)Day 3 Arrive Cape Town Arrive in Cape Town this afternoon where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Day 4 Cape Town (BL) There are so many things to see and do in Cape Town. A full day excursion is included today - the selection is up to you. Perhaps a full day in the Winelands or a full day out to Cape Point? Or, focus on the history of South Africa with a fascinating cultural tour, including visits to Robben Island and District Six. Day 5 Cape Town (B) Enjoy a day at leisure to explore the shops along the waterfront or perhaps take an optional tour of the winelands. Day 6 Cape Town-Victoria Falls (B) Fly to Johannesburg early this morning, where you connect to the flight bound for Victoria Falls. Later, why not enjoy a sundowner cruise along the Zambezi. Day 7 Victoria Falls (B) This morning, enjoy a tour of the Falls, followed by a visit to a traditional village where you have the opportunity to see a way of life that has remained virtually unchanged during the last hundred years. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Day 8 Victoria Falls-Johannesburg (B) The morning is at leisure before flying to Johannesburg. Your hotel is conveniently located just across from the main terminal at the airport. Day 9 Johannesburg-Nairobi (BD) Fly to Nairobi this morning, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. This evening, sample zebra, ostrich and other exotic game at the Carnivore Restaurant. Day 10 Nairobi-Masai Mara (BLD) Transfer to the airport for the short light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara. Here, lodge vehicles will meet and transfer you to the camp. After lunch, enjoy your first game drive in the park. Day 11 Masai Mara (BLD) Rise early this morning for a game drive before breakfast. Return to the lodge for time at leisure before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Among the variety of wildlife you might see are lion, cheetah, hippo, giraffe, gazelle, elephant and a host of birdlife. Look carefully for the Lilac Breasted Roller, one of the prettiest birds in Kenya. Day 12 Masai Mara-Nairobi (BD) After breakfast, depart on the morning flight back to Nairobi. This afternoon, travel out into the Ngong Hills and visit the former home of Karen von Blixen, now a museum. Then, continue on to the Giraffe Center for a delightful time feeding the giraffe. Tonight, enjoy dinner in the elegant Mandhari Restaurant. Day 13 Nairobi-Serengeti (BLD) Fly to Arusha this morning and connect to the light aircraft flight to the northwestern corridor of the Serengeti. Camp vehicles will greet you at the airstrip and transfer you to your luxury camp with spectacular views of the plains. Enjoy a cocktail before an extraordinary dinner, complete with china and crystal service. Day 14 Serengeti (BLD) Rise early this morning for a game drive in the park, returning to the camp for breakfast and some leisure time. The camp’s terrace faces out over the plains and is ideal for catching up on journal entries or writing postcards. This afternoon enjoy another game drive. Day 15 Serengeti-Depart (BD) A light aircraft flight takes you back to Nairobi, via Arusha. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure before departing on the overnight flight to London. Nairobi Serena Hotel (Day Room) Day 16 Arrive USA Arrive in London early this morning and connect to your homeward-bound flight, arriving later today.
