Day 3  Arrive Windhoek
Touch down in Johannesburg this morning. After clearing customs and immigration, continue on the scheduled flight to Windhoek. The evening is at leisure.
Day 4  Windhoek-Etosha National Park (BD)
An early morning departure takes you via Okahandja where you have a chance to explore the local market. Visit Otjikoto Lake, Namibia's largest natural lake, before continuing to Etosha.
Etosha Rest Camp

Day 5  Etosha National Park (BD)
Etosha means "the place of dry water" - a fitting name since a large salt pan lies in the center of Etosha. The diversity and sheer numbers of game supported in the park make Etosha one of the finest game-viewing parks in Africa. Lion, giraffe, zebra, elephant and springbok are all well represented.
Etosha Rest Camp

Day 6  Etosha National Park (BD)
Our drive takes us along the vast saltpan, game viewing as we go. Stop for lunch (on your own) before we continue to our lodge for the night.
Day 7  Etosha National Park-Damaraland (BD)
Our drive takes us through Otjo, Khorixas and past Damara villages to the Petrified Forest - an amazing forest of trees that were uprooted some 200 million years ago (and perhaps hundreds of miles away) and swept here by floods. Eventually erosion moved away the sediment and uncovered them.
Day 8  Damaraland (BD)
Damaraland is famous for its San Rock art and there are some 2400 engravings at Twyfelfontein. You’ll have time to explore some, like the lion panel and the famous elephant. Continue on to see the Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain before returning to the hotel for a leisurely afternoon.
Day 9  Damaraland-Swakopmund (B)
We continue to Henties Bay for a lunch stop (on your own) before proceeding to the charming coastal resort of Swakopmund. We visit some of the regions natural wonders such as the ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis - a remarkable plant that lives for more than 1000 years but produces just 2 leaves.
Day 10  Swakopmund (B)
The day is at leisure to explore on your own or perhaps take an optional harbor cruise.
Day 11  Swakopmund-Sossusvlei (BD)
Our drive takes us via Walvis Bay to the edges of the Namib Desert and then through the southern region of the Namib Naukluft Park. We’ll pass the spectacular Kuiseb Canyon and the Gaub Pass before we reach our lodge for the night.
Day 12  Sossusvlei (BD)
Nothing can prepare you for your first site of what are believed to be the highest dunes in the world. Some of the dunes can reach 984 feet high - if you feel energetic, you may try to climb to the top of one.
Day 13  Sossusvlei-Windhoek-Johannesburg (B)
Our leisurely drive takes us through scenic Spreetshoogte Pass into Windhoek and the airport where we depart on a late evening flight to Johannesburg.
Day 14  Johannesburg-Depart (B)
This morning, we'll visit the township of Soweto, where we will stop at the Hector Peterson Museum and visit Regina Mondi Church, site of many of the underground meetings of the then banned political parties. Return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure until your transfer to the airport to depart on the overnight flight to London.

Day 15  Arrive USA
Arrive in London early this morning and connect to your homeward-bound flight, arriving later today. Welcome Home!
