 Depart on your overnight flight to London. (Note: Depending on flight schedules, passengers west of the Mississippi may have to depart one day earlier.) Day 2 Arrive Nairobi Jambo and welcome to Kenya! You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Nairobi Safari Park Day 3 Nairobi (BD) After a leisurely morning, travel out to the Ngong Hills and the Karen von Blixen museum. You’ll have time to tour the house of the famous author of “Out of Africa” and experience the magnificent views of the Ngong Hills before continuing to the Giraffe Center. Enjoy the fun of feeding the Rothschild giraffes before returning to your hotel. This evening, a fun dining experience awaits at the Carnivore Restaurant. Nairobi Safari Park Day 4 Nairobi-Lake Manyara (BLD) Today, your drive takes you south, across the border into Tanzania. Stop in Arusha for lunch before continuing across the Masai Steppe into the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. The views are particularly breathtaking here and your lodge’s location provides stunning panoramas of the Valley. Day 5 Lake Manyara-Serengeti (BLD) Spend the morning on a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Thanks to the wide variety of habitats found inside the park, game is plentiful. Be on the lookout for the graceful impala, the mischievous baboon and much more. Return to the lodge for lunch and then continue your drive to Tanzania’s most famous park, the Serengeti. Day 6 Serengeti (BLD) Rise early this morning to enjoy a game drive as the animals begin to stir across the expansive plains of the Serengeti. You’ll have time to relax at your lodge during the heat of the day before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Game is abundant in the Serengeti: wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and impala all dot the horizon. The predators are found here as well and you will almost certainly spot lion and cheetah during your stay. Day 7 Serengeti-Ngorongoro (BLD) Your first stop today is at Olduvai Gorge, site of some of the most significant archaeological excavations. After stopping for a picnic lunch, continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation area where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Day 8 Ngorongoro (BLD) A highlight awaits as you descend 2,000 feet to the Crater floor for a morning game drive. The Crater’s wide variety of habitats allows it to support abundant wildlife. Birdlife is equally spectacular - be sure to have your binoculars ready. Day 9 Ngorongoro-Tarangire (BLD) Your journey takes you to Tarangire today. Thanks to the permanent water supply of the Tarangire River, the park is a dry-season haven for huge herds of wildebeest, zebra and other plains game. During your afternoon game drive, enjoy the vistas dotted with majestic baobab trees. Day 10 Tarangire-Nairobi-Depart (BL) Return to Arusha where you stop for lunch before continuing by road to Nairobi. You'll have time to relax and freshen up in our partner's lounge prior to leaving for the airport. Later this evening, depart on the overnight flight to London. Day 11 Arrive USA Arrive in London early this morning and connect to your homeward bound flight.
