Depart the USA on your overnight flight to London. Day 2 Enroute Arrive in London early this morning. Day Rooms are available for you to freshen up and perhaps take a quick nap before continuing on the overnight flight to Lusaka. Heathrow Hilton (Day Room) Day 3 Arrive Lusaka-Mfuwe (LD) Welcome to Zambia! Your fight touches down in Lusaka early this morning. After clearing customs and immigration, you will be met and assisted to a light aircraft transfer flight to Mfuwe. Settle into your lodge inside South Luangwa National Park and enjoy a game viewing activity today. Day 4 Mfuwe (BLD) The South Luangwa Valley is one of Africa's most extraordinary game viewing spots. Game drives in this area are thrilling as the concentration and variety of game is amazing. Did you know that zebras in this area look a bit different than those found in East Africa? Here, their stripes tend to be a bit closer together. Day 5 Mfuwe/South Luangwa Valley (BLD) A drive takes you further south today, into the heart of the South Luangwa Valley for 3 nights at your choice of camp or lodge. Tucked into picturesque settings along a river or nestled under a canopy of huge old mahagony trees, these camps provide the creature comforts while getting you close to nature. Game viewing will be spectacular over the few days. Day 6 South Lungwa Valley (BLD) Hippos are amazing animals and the number of hippos you'll actually spot in the Valley is staggering. Some say that there are 50 hippos every 2-3 feet along the Luangwa River. Keep your eye out for the beautiful Kudu whose spiral horns reach gracefully to the sky. Day 7 South Lungwa Valley (BLD) Another full day to search for game. Another "special" animal to watch for is the Thornicroft’s giraffe. These giraffe differ from the Maasai or Rothschild’s giraffe - their legs below their knees are almost white and their faces are quite light or white. The main part of their body is covered in dark patches, while their neck is covered in lighter patches. Day 8 South Luangwa Valley-Victoria Falls (BLD) After breakfast, drive to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Livingstone, where lodge vehicles will meet you for the approximate 45 minute drive to your lodge. Your chalet has a private balcony with spectacular views over the Zambezi River. Day 9 Victoria Falls (BLD) You can choose to relax and enjoy the surroundings today or partake in a bird walk. If you enjoyed fishing for the Zambezi Tiger, you might want to try your hand at it again. Or, you could opt for a tour to nearby Chobe National Park in neighboring Botswana. The choice is yours (some activities are optional and at an additional fee.) Day 10 Victoria Falls (BLD) It’s your last day on safari. You might want to just relax and soak in the views or take one last bird walk. Day 11 Livingstone-Depart (B) Bid farwell to this paradise and transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg, where you connect to the overnight flight to London. Day 12 Arrive USA Bid farwell to this paradise and transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg, where you connect to the overnight flight to London.
